A native of Columbus, Ohio, I (Chad Simms) attended the University of Northwestern Ohio studying automotive technology. After graduating I was offered a position on a local sports car team, which would be the start of a near 15 year career in motorsports. I was able to travel to tracks across the country competing in Grand-am, ALMS, IMSA, IndyCar, and Rally America. The final stint in rally racing involved a much different type of chassis fabrication and prep, and at that time I began building things that weren’t destined for a car.

The fabrication skills and attention to detail required by the motorsports industry, coupled with a new growing family planted the seed that grew into Ohio Metal, LLC. I am excited to see the future unfold for both this business and my family!
